You mean more to me than words can ever express. Your love, your arms that take care of me, and your whispers that encourage me. We make a great team, but we’re much more than just that.

We have the passion of lovers, the eagerness of the bride and groom, and the commitment of the married. Although we’re both adults, deep down we’ll always be children, sometimes teenagers. However, above all, we’re soul mates, partners for life.

You catch me when I fall. You keep me warm when I’m cold. You’re a breath of fresh air when it’s hellishly hot. You’re my sun, my moon, and my stars. You fill me with vitality.

You can count on me…always. With my shield, my sword, and all my cavalry. You and I have a different language with special words and phrases that we built for us alone.

When you’re not around I miss you so much and even more. You’re so special. With you, I think, talk, cry, laugh, and dream. With you, I can dance to any melody. You and I are our past, our present, and our future.

We’re perfectly imperfect

Only you and I know how to be together even thought we’re very different.

Together, we’re perfectly imperfect. That’s not because we don’t have problems but because we’ve been able to solve them. Of course, our love has its ups and downs… That’s why we must enjoy it to the fullest, working together to overcome our crises and our confrontations.

Naturally, I don’t adore every side of you. I don’t even adore every one of mine, what madness that would be! But there’s one thing that I wouldn’t change for the world.  That’s being able to share my life with you.

Sometimes I get angry, sometimes you get angry, and sometimes we let each other down. Furthermore, at times, we don’t keep our promises as we should but we know how to grow together and overcome our imperfections.

You hold me and I hold on to you

The special tenderness I feel is only for you and our moments together. In fact, it’s the little things that hold us together. The simple things in our daily life. That’s what love is as a couple.

If your world falls apart, you can come to mine and we’ll rebuild yours. If my world falls apart, I’ll come to yours and we’ll reshape mine. This is how love works.

I love you for your flaws

Our relationship has reached that point that psychology calls acceptance. You’re unique and that makes you exceptional. After all, if I wasted my time picking on your faults, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the present with you.

In you, I don’t look for my desires nor do I want you to fill my voids. We’re both complete and whole people. Changing and maturing together is an infinite pleasure.

In fact, I don’t need you, but I’ve chosen you, and I want us to enjoy our life together. That’s love. Wanting without depending. Loving without any restrictions and boundaries.

And my desire for you doesn’t go away, it accumulates.

Thank you for always being there

No matter how many times I say ‘I love you’, I feel like it’s never enough. You’ve become one of the most important people in my life. You’re my priority.

I’m not going to tell you that before you arrived I was empty, or that you filled an empty hole in me. However, what’s true is that it’s difficult for me now to imagine a life without you.

You make me happy every day and your smile is the most powerful source of energy for me. For that reason, I don’t want to change you for anything, or for anyone.

I must thank you for your patience with me because I’m aware that sometimes I can be a really complex person. However, when you’re beside me, I calm down, and you set me back on the right path. Your support has been, is, and will be vital for me to move forward.

You’re my greatest inspiration and I want you to be part of my decisions and desires forever. Let our love grow without boundaries and restrictions because that’s how we’ve built it from the beginning. That’s why, even though I sometimes forget to tell you, I love you.
